I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the brilliant minds out there that spend endless hours of their free time to code various scripting languages that have allowed me to include interactive content to my site. Below is a list of those individuals who have provided me with the tools and input to help make this site fundtional.

Ariel Flesler

Developed the scrollTo, localScroll, and serialScroll jQuery plugins which are used in creating animated scrolling elements such as photographs or other content. This script is used in conjuction with the jQuery scripting language.  This code was utilized in both, the portfolio section (Animations, Websites, and Social Media) and EcoActive section (Species Information) of this website.

The code was developed to be easily inserted into any website with little need to fully understand sophisticated code.  The plugins provide a fluid and diverse functionality, which offers a website more animation and interaction for a visitor.

Aino

Aino has been creating high-end digital products, interface designs, and rich content solutions since 2001.  One such product is their Galleria slideshow plugin.

Galleria is a JavaScript image gallery created to run with the use of jQuery script and can take a simple list of images and turn it into a foundation of multiple intelligent gallery designs, suitable for a wide variety of projects.

Since the project began in 2006, Galleria has quickly become one of the most popular open source photo gallery plugins available with 5K daily downlaods.

Galleria originally version 1.0 was utilized in the Photo Gallery sections of this website.  In September 2010, Aino released a new version 1.2 which included some additional features ,such as a thumbnail carousel, which were requested by users as they were not available in earlier versions. This newer version will soon be implemented within this website.

UStream

Ustream is a live interactive broadcast platform allowing anyone with a computer and a video camera to broadcast programs of their own creation for free.

Ustream was founded in the summer of 2006 by U.S. Army officers John Ham, Brad Hunstable, and Dr. Gyula Feher as way to help overseas soldiers connect more efficiently with their families.  While serving overseas Ham and Husntable were limited to the use of phone and instant messaging to connect with family and loved-ones back home. They saw an opportunity to revolutionize communication and provide and highly interactive and personal way for American soldiers to keep in touch with home.

The Ustream platform allows me to conduct my EcoActive ecology lessons found in the Webcasts section of this website.  The CCI Webcst was broadcast live to a class of 4th graders in Sussex, England.

Issuu

Issuu is the fastest growing digital publishing platform in the world delivering exceptional reading experiences of magazines, catalogs, and newspapers. &nBacked by Sundance Capital, Issuu empowers millions of individuals, companies, and institutions to publish their documents across all digital platforms at no cost.

For this website, I have utilized Issuu to publish, store, and embed my resume and research that I have conducted regarding interactive media and the biological sciences.  These can be found in the Resume and Research pages of this website.
